OT - Circus Elephants at Coney
When the circus in at Marison Square Garden, the elephants are walked through the Lincoln Tunnel from New Jersey. I didn’t hear anything about elephants on Ocean Parkway or the Belt. Does anyone have any idea how they got the elephants to Coney Island?

From what I understand, circus elephants are usually moved via transports
(and despite Dumbo’s exceptional abilities, not via airlift). Unfortunately, there are a number of documented cases of mistreatment and abuse. See, for example: http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/26/should-circus-elephants-be-banned/
is all that travel even OK for these poor things?
I mean I kinda understand the tunnel walk(although not ver good air ventilation) but to fly them on planes?
Thanks vinca – I never thought that they might be air dropped!
