flushometer question
Hello there- We are about to renovate our bathroom on the 6th floor of a 1936 apartment building. Is there any reason to convert our flushometer toilet to a tank? Would a tank be more water efficient? Thanks!

like mp said, just replace the old 3.5 gallon unit with a modern 1.6 unit, unless it is an aesthetic decision
Modern flushometers use 1.6 gallons, or 6 liters, per flush just like a tank-and-bowl toilet.
Of course you should put in a new toilet. All new toilets are low flow and use far less water than a flushometer does. They’re also much quieter, though they do take up more space since they need tanks. Toto makes some very nice small one piece toilets that I personally like a lot. . .
