So, I’m looking to install some built-in shelving between a decorative fireplace and a window wall. Could anyone recommend a carpenter or handyman who would do this sort of job? (I don’t trust myself to do it right) Also, if anyone has had this done and knows what I should expect cost-wise, I’d definitely appreciate any insights.

Thanks!

  1. Steve Rayboy built our deck and built some shelving units inside our house. His work is very good. His number is 347-526-8670.

  2. My husband’s company, Sticks for Stones Woodworking, Inc. may be able to help. His main work consists of custom loftbeds, platform beds, toddler/kids beds, but he also builds custom shelving, desks, cubbies, etc. The website is http://www.sticksforstones.com. And if I may say so myself, he’s quite pleasant to work with! There’s an inquiry form on the website you can fill out and he’ll call you back, usually within a few hours.

Joe Salem Can’t find he’s number off-hand, but do a search on the forum he has many write-ups.

  4. If your looking for idea’s to have shelving custom made than a can recommend Patrick. He has done an abundance of custom work for me. He’s prices are not cheap though and he doesn’t stain or varnish the wood. For that, I would recommend Joe Salem. If interested I will provide both numbers.
