Bamboo flooring - recommendation
My family is considering doing some work on our house (in Sheepshead Bay), and among the changes we’re looking at is installing bamboo flooring over cork underlayment (noise abatement) in our main living area. Might anyone be able to recommend somewhere to get the materials and someone who would install it? Thanks, EG

Bamboo flooring(http://www.floorproducer.com) on price reduction to make room for new designs, styles and models. But the bamboo flooring is on the good quality of sell just as fine as options for flooring that is kept as inventory costs. Also, it is common practice to fashion accessories old flooring on sale just to make room for newer models, drawings and models that are getting in. Now, many people use bamboo flooring as a variation in developing their desirable property.
We bought ours and had it installed by Verrazano Flooring. We love it. If you email me I can send photos.
We also ordered from Green Depot. We got the EcoTimber strand woven bamboo (honey color):

All of the advice above about using strand woven is spot on — much harder than the other types. Our contractor also loved it … email me offline at my nickname @mac.com for contact information.

We got strand woven bamboo from Green Depot. Very reasonably priced and rock-hard. Our contractor, Carlos from J Thomas Construction, did a great job installing it. He liked it so much he might put it in his own house!
Just be sure you properly research bamboo floors…the natural and carbonized are rather soft…we are building a house and are going with the strand woven bamboo as it is almost as hard as brazilian Teak.
