Sq. Footage Question
We recently had our house reappraised and they did not include the basement in the sq. footage total. When I asked I was told that even if the rest of the basement is finished, if the floor isn’t tiled it can’t be counted as living space. Is this true?

My house has a finished basement and the floor is tiled.
It was still not counted as living space by the bank appraiser.
