Can anyone recommend a company or contractor who replaces these type of doors? How much does a task like this usually cost? I’m assuming the job would involve removing the metal enclosure, probably fixing the cement, and installing a new door/enclosure.
Depending on the condition of the old bilco door the cost for labor can vary from $500-$1000. A new door depends on the size and hardware required. I can recommend http://www.Ecoconstructiongroup.biz. Ask for Sean
You can look through the archives for additional responses to your inquiry, but when we did it, we went with Vinnie’s Italian Ironworks. Not cheap, but done right. Expect a heavy Italian accent to answer the phone.
