Basically entails running a wire to replace an existing wire that is faulty. The quote we got seemed a little excessive to run a wire for an existing 4 intercom system. Anyone that has any experience with this or something similiar and would care to share what it should cost would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Your quotes are going to be high. Pulling a new cable is a nightmare – it never goes smoothly and the rewiring of all the intercom terminals properly is time consuming. Not to mention the difficulty in gaining access to all the tenant apartments. As long as the cable is bad and you are pulling cable, I would recommend pulling extra pairs and an extra RG59 in case you decide to upgrade the system or add video.
