Gorgeous! am fully jealous as I have a garden that is of course mostly shade. I do however have one huge climbing rose bush which is out of control now – hahha!
Love your garden, especially the ruins and the overall “ancient” casualness.
Not a great fan of topiary, but even the boxwood or privet work so well in combination with your columns/pedestals. Love the reds, too, but can’t quite
make them out…barberry and Japanese maple?
Wow. That is one beautiful garden! And, hell no, to stucco on the cracked column. Not that it’s needed, but that little imperfection gives your garden added “character.” Very nice!
Agree with eman, Denton, no stucco. That’s one of my favorite features of his garden, and also the “wreck of a tool shed” back there, but what an interesting wreck. Agree too about the morning glories. Mine are already headed up the fire escape. Last year, late summer, a wall of blue.
I love to garden too. But being a contractor never stopped my friend Alice’s husband from hiring people. Usually right after Alice pointed to something she had been waiting for for years and said, Haven’t you ever heard the story about the shoemaker’s children having no shoes?
You have such a green thumb and a great eye for color and pattern.
now, that is one excellent garden. nice work!
same as the yellow in the back…tall bearded iris (new moon?)….ive been moving that clump around for years
Those yellow things in the right foreground are iris?!? Wow! What kind?
