Co-op Renovation
I am in renovating my co-op apt. Approx 950 sq ft. I’d like to gut and redo the bathroom (simple design: subway tile, penny tile), redo moldings and skim coat and paint the walls. Thoughts on what I should budget (cost and time)? Anyone with experience w/ a similar reno? This is my first renovation….

Give Micheal a call at High-Tech…he renovated my bathroom and did a great job….and he gave me the most affordable deal…i went through alot of contractors and then gave him the job…you can reach him at 1347-792-1266. Good luck with the renovation!
Oleg 347-583-0523. Again, his English is not great but he’ll come and evaluate everything for free and you can discuss all your options with him. He is an overall great guy and does a really good job. If you need to see his work, I am sure he’ll have plenty of references, including mine and my best friend’s apartment.
Thanks for the info. Do send along info for any credible contractors.
I did it for 8K including tiles and mine is floor to ceiling tiled with only ceiling painted. I would say about 3 weeks to a month unless you get a contractor with a team of 2-3 people. Those guys can do it in a week but will charge more. I worked with one Russian guy. His English is not great but he did an amazing job and a really nice guy. Will give you his number if you like.
Coops are much more expensive for contractors. With multilple bids I never found anyone who would do it for less than $18-20K all inclusive. [I had 2 plus powderroom done).
