Our bid is for simulated divided light windows. Architect is saying that simulated is good now and can make mullions thinner with double pane glass but i am worried they will not look right, especially in parlor. Any experience with simulated divided light double pane for parlor windows? we are doing marvin wood so already very expensive not sure we can spring for the true divided.
I have Marvin interior wood, exterior clad on my back parlor and back garden windows. They are permanently applied 2 over 2, simulated divided light and look great. They are NOT the removable grills which look like garbage. Definitely more energy efficient – fewer seals.
Simulate divided lights are done so well now, esp by Marvin, that there is barely a visible difference. Plus, I believe they are more energy efficient.
