is this a pool on top of this house in Park Slope??

  1. Fascinating that either of those 8th St. blocks falls outside the historic district, and therefore a visible rooftop addition does not violate Landmarks restrictions.

  2. My money sez no way. Brownstones can’t bear that kind of weight. Unless someone retrofitted new steel all the way up through the building. And if they wanted to drop that kind of money, wouldn’t they seek out an easier building to begin with?

  3. shut up, really? how does your roof not cave in? and is that a landmarked block (I can’t remember, even though I walked by this morning!)
