neutral / ground connected?
I looked at one of my ceiling fixtures and noticed, that there is 0 Om (no resistance) between the neutral (white) wire and the ground connection (the gas pipe, etc). Is it expected? Or I need to try and find place, where ground and neutral connected? It could be in any of the wires or…

Is it expected? Or I need to try and find place, where ground and neutral connected? It could be in any of the wires or connections in my house. Or any other house, which connected to the same neutral and cold water pipes.
You should be golden.
1. thanks
2. makes sense. sorry, did not think about it before.
3. I wanted to change fixture. Original electric box did not have grounding pigtail. I used grounding clip to attach grounding wire to the electric box and this is when I tried resistance.
thanks
1-neutral and ground should Always be at 0 ohms wrt each other.
2-testing resistance on a non-isolated wires is iffy, may give you incorrect results.
3-are you trying to change something? if so, what?
