Hi,

We are a small new coop (8 units) in Fort Greene and are seeking a management company to perform the basics: collect maintenance, pay bills, keep the books and manage repair work. One of the shareholders has already taken on the duties of porter (for a fee).

Does anyone have any experience with JLP Metro Management (Anton Popovic)?

I have read good things about Goldin, BPC and Crosstown Management on the forum. Any additional feedback about these companies?

How much should we expect to pay for the services listed above?

  1. JLP took over my building a few months ago. Since then, Ive been having problems. They reduced the heat by degree and time. They barely answer the phone, and when they do they keep passing me from person to person, and never reaching to a conclusion. They fail at everything concerning the maintenance of the building. JLP is a disgrace.

    I am the Board President for 221 E. 173rd Street HDFC. We are a 36 unit building and we have been working with Anton since 2006 when he was with another managment company, we enjoyed his work ethic so much that when he left we went with him. When he first started working with our building we were in a siuation that many HDFC’s were in at the time, being, we owed back water and real estate taxes and were also in shareholder arrears. Since 2006 we went from being in the red to enjoying the staisfaction of catching up with all our bills and having money saved. We have also gone from 200 building violations to 67 in matter of a month.
    The development owes a great deal of our new found success to the dedication of Anton and JLPMetro. They get the job done while still valuing and working with shareholders and renters alike. We welcome anyone to come and get a tour of the building and see the progress we have made due to our partnership with JLP.
