Water Dripping Sound in the Wall
I just noticed that there is water dripping sound in the wall. tin tin tin tin tin tin… constantly and stop. I don’t know what’s inside of the wall. Maybe a water pipe? What should I do? There is no any sign of water leak from outside (yet?). Is there anything I can do now?…

Thanks
Mine really sounds like a ping, almost like rain on a tin roof. After all these years I know it’s not water, but I would really like to know what it is? My friend describes the same thing in her house, also no water damage.
Water is the enemy of the homeowner.
Do not ignore this sound.
If there is water, even a small amount, lurking behind this wall, you will have problems in the future: think mold, mildew, ruined sheetrock, etc.
The easiest thing to do is to have a good handyman (or woman) remove a small piece of sheetrock (I presume you are hearing this tin tin tin behind an interior wall) carefully. He or she will then inspect with a flashlight, looking for the source of the drip. If it is water, you will need the wall opened up. If not, provided your handyperson has been careful in removing the piece of sheetrock and it came from a cosmetically inapparent area (say, behind a sink or toilet), it can be replaced, taped, spackled and painted to look like new. Just don’t ignore it.
do not think it’s nothing. water is a major pain. check your gutters and watch your walls for any sign of water build up.
if you have a basement, check to see if the walls are wet.
good luck.
If you don’t see any water marks, there is a good chance it’s only the sound of the pipes expanding and lengthening. The friction against some interior blocking or framing. Circulating hot water heat? It happens during especially cold days when the heat stays on longer.
It could possibly be rain, or snow melting and finding it’s way down from the roof through your walls.

Could be condensation in the furnace exhaust flue dripping back.
I’ve had the same thing for years. In myhouse it’s not water, because by now I would have seen signs of damage. Mine only happens in the winter, so I have to think it has something to do heat. I know other people who describe the same thing, and there’s wasn’t water either.
Do you have hot water radiators and flexible pipe in the walls? Sometimes that can sound like dripping, but I would investigate first. Free flowing water and houses don’t like each other.
