Mmmm, happy memories. When our shitty contractor washed all the grout down the cellar sink it of course resulted in a delightful sewage back-up all over the cellar. Once you get them to clean or replace the toilet, make sure they snake your drains.

i would make him get a decent drain cleaning outfit like drain king or electric sewer and drain service pull the toilet in question and snake the line out to, and including the house traps…what a boneheaded move on your contractors part..
I guarantee you that same stuff is sitting in your building drain trap.
Don’t let it stay there, it’ll haunt you for years.

Tell your contractor to deal with it. He should replace the toilet if necessary.
What kind of a moron contractor would dump grout and thinset into a toilet?
