New Plumbing
From everyone’s experience, can anyone give me a general idea of the cost of installing all new plumbing to a four story brownstone?

Do you own the Brownstone yet or looking to purchase? If you have plans (filed or not at this point), we can come by to give you an estimate on any Plumbing and Heating work. We’ve just finished the project in Brooklyn for This Old House and can show you our work if you would like. The price depends on how many Kitchens, Bathrooms and Laundry areas you are installing and their locations within the building. Also the content of each of those rooms (tubs, showers, bidet, basins, etc.) We’ve been doing Brownstone Renovations since 1976 and can definitely help you every step of the way.
Yes, at this point it would be a gut renovation and is a typical brownstone. Thanks!
generally between 40-60K for a gut – assuming its a typical brownstone
are you talking gut renovation or cosmetic work?
Misty,
It’s hard to give a number for new plumbing and electrical because those are two areas that vary wildly in price depending on number of fixtures, condition of existing plumbing and electrical, and whether you’re moving anything or not. I’m an architect currently working on a townhouse that’s similar to your situation and the owners are finding this out now and I’m getting some solid pricing for them after i made them settle on some design decisions. In my past experience, all new electrical and plumbing can range from low tens of thousands to high hundreds depending on scope.
