Hi I am looking for blueprints that outline the layout of my coop building, specifically the layout of the water heat, and waste pipelines. Is that a DOB possibility? The building dates from the early 1930s. Management company does not have any. Any leads about where I would go to find out? Thanks.

You have nothing to lose by going to the DOB and requesting your file. Sometimes they’re full, and often they’re missing nearly everything. You can also try visiting one of the oldtime expediters like Schnall on Atlantic Ave. If the plans were originally filed through him, his records are often more complete than the DOB’s.
I’m pretty sure plans had to be submitted showing the complete layout of each apartment when the coop plan was filed. Unless extensive plumbing upgrading was done at the time no drains and what not will be visible. Even if there was plumbing indicated on any plans it is rarely shown to scale.
they probably do not exist.. all you will get from thedob is a plan which may or may not correspond to the reality
