i have about 7 or 8 extra atlas east shelves and two lower cabinets that i’m interested in selling.

    it is extremely stable. look – there’s probably 500 lbs of
    books on each verticlal shelf..

  2. Holy crap! Just checked the pricing for the standards on the Atlas site. $582 for ONE 6′ 0″ high standard! That’s a hell of a lot of money for a piece of steel with holes that are drilled and threaded in a machine shop environment! Looking at the set-up you have there I’m guessing that, with the shelves, it cost around $9,500 plus tax, just for the material. Sure looks good, but crazy expensive IMO.

  3. Thanks for the info. But I don’t think those widths will work for our space. Also, I didn’t realize you were selling *only* the wooden shelves, not the metal hanging system as well… Ah well. They look fantastic, by the way. Are you generally happy with them? Do you think they were worth the price?
