We are looking for a competent mason to do some interior basement work. Also, any views you have on applying a therocoat sealant to basement walls would be welcome.

  1. I think that coating brick and stone surfaces is dicey in general. The material has a life, needs to be able to “breathe” and do expansion/contraction cycles.

  2. I always recommend Nick at Transcend Construction. He was recommended by a few folks here, and we were VERY happy with all the work he did. He does GC, but specializes in masonry. Do a forum search and you’ll find detailed rec’s, as well as his contact info.
