I have worked with him. He custom milled some bead board to exactly match our existing wainscotting, which was missing in parts. Charged me $540 for enough for a long wall, plus patches for other rooms. Turned it around in two days and delivered it. It’s a perfect match.
He is very nice, and came over to see my place and advise. He gave me the best info yet on how to repair old plaster. His web site is absolutely fabulous. I wish I had known about him when we were starting our renovation. Could have saved us a lot of money and mistakes. Plus it would be nice to work with him. He is completely passionate about old stuff.
I believe he’s a licensed contractor and has been a cabinet maker and carpenter for something like 20 years.
I think the new web address is http://gavinyoungmaloney.com/
I admired the photos of his work in the ad. Has anyone ever used him? What did you think?
Thank you NYC. I remember it was an Irish name too and was searching “Mullane”. Thanks!
I remembered! Gavin Young Maloney–I think that’s the guy you’re referring to:

I believe it was an Irish name, and it was a design-build operation. Maybe it’ll come to me…
