I bought a condo off of Smith St in March, have not yet received a rebate. I did get something from NYC Finance claiming my mortgage company owed an additional $392 in taxes, not sure what that was.
Who do I call to find out if I should be getting such a rebate???

I am not bitter. I am quit happy now but not because homes are getting forclosed but when years ago I was telling real estate brokers and homeowners that rents in Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights were getting out of control people told me it was the market factors and that there was no room in these areas for the poor and elders. Well now that I hear about homeowners waiting for a 400.00 dollar check from the city like it were a manna from the sky. Well you know how it is What goes around comes around right?
The rebate definitely went to co-op owners, too. But you have to fill out a special form from the Department of Finance website. Unfortunately there is a deadline, which has already passed for this year’s check and, given the wrangling that went along with the release of this one, it’s not looking so good for next year.
Hannible, you are the definition of “Bitter Renter” Why is it that every single one of your comments is derogatory and vitrol toward anyone that owns a property. If you dont like your slumlord or crumbling apartment, why dont you just move? Not everyone that owns an apartment or has tenants is evil.

Rebate check and delayed property tax bill together. The increase in my property tax for the year pretty much cancels out the rebate. Oh well.

Still did not get it. im in sheepshead
