I’m looking for one or two metal lockers to store tools, sports equipment etc… I have extra space in my garage that I would like to store some of these items and need something that has the ability to be locked with a Master Lock. Not that I don’t trust my neighborhors but I don’t want my tools or skis stolen. I checked out Home Depot but those lockers are that heavy grade plastic, I’m looking for more of a steel product that you would see in an autobody garage.
Any idea where I kind find such a piece? Maybe 2nd hand as I don’t want to pay through the nose for it.
Nice blog useful information
I actually found something that I like on the Jersey Craigslist. It’s a vintage machinist locker for 25 bucks!!! Just need a friend with a truck to help me pick it up.
There is a guy in East Harlem thats trying to give away a set of 6 high school lockers for free if anyone cares. He is on the NY craigslist site.
Craig’s list requires patience, but I’ve eventually found whatever I was looking for there at a great price. YRMV.
Checked craiglist but most of what I’m finding is old school lockers which are Ok but not wide enough to hold what I’m looking for. I’m looking for closer to what craftsman sells at Sears but not brand new and certainly not 300 bucks. Maybe a place that sells used office furniture or liquidators for company’s that go out of business.
I second the recommendation of Craig’s list, especially for storage in a garage where aesthetics is probably not a mojor consideration. Why not buy something like this used?

Lockers are readily available through nearly any industrial or gym supplier.
I imagine used lockers are available through Ebay or Craigslist, too. Here’s just one example: http://www.shelving.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=SHELV01/CTGY/LKRS
