Ideally, would like to avoid a “generalist” handyperson who would “figure it out as they go along” b/c I can do that myself (a superemely busy stretch of life makes this a non-option at the moment).
However, if there is someone out there who does such hanging/mounting work on a regular basis and is open to a relatively small jobs (e.g. about 1 – 2 days of “per hour” work via punch list), would be more than happy to connect.
Many thanks – MFB
. I have had recent good recomendations from clients who found me on Brownstoner and engaged me in doing hanging/mounting. Nobody whose not a skilled mechanic and all around builder/construction worker can make a living as a handyman. You need a wide variety of tools and tons of experience to do finishing jobs well. And hanging/mounting is finish work as are installing appliances and electrical fixtures. I DO work as a professional art installer in Chelsea but those clients need me only once or twice a year. My name is Brian Piersol and my number is 646 831-6481.
I would recommend contacting a friend of mine, Crawford Day, his phone number is (917) 675-2640. He and his business partner are professional art installers. They are a freelance team, working mainly in Manhattan. I know them both to be knowledgeable, precise, clean, and conscientious. I’m sure they can hang anything you throw at them.
