I know this post is going to bring more commentary about unfortunate timing than advice, but I plan to list a house in the Slope and would be very grateful for recommendations for skilled, honest, and hardworking real estate agents. Even if you worked with them several years ago, if you think he/she was skilled and cooperative, could you give me info? Thanks.

  1. I used Charles Ruoff at Brown Harris Stevens to sell my house on Sixth Street. He is the only person you should use. He can provide you with many references and has sold over twenty homes in the last two years in the Park Slope area his number is : 718-399-4126. I had listed my home with two other realtors (Corcoran and Berman) before finding him..

    Good luck..

  2. These are 2 Realtors I deal with on a regular basis. Tell them Al Rosario sent the Rec.

    Ally @ Wolf Properties – (646) 309-0526

    Luke @ Prudential – (347) 678-5529

  3. I’d like to recommend Chris Howard, a good and old friend. Though I’ve never used him for a real estate transaction, I can say that I’ve known Chris for many, many years, and know him to be hardworking, ethical, and an all-round decent human being. Also a Park Slope oldtimer. He can be reached at: 347.217.4200 or at chris@brooklynhabitat.com / Twitter: brooklynhabitat / Skype: brooklynhabitat
If interested, you can also check out his blog at: http://brooklynhabitat.typepad.com/brooklyn_mirror_blog/

  4. Maria Skarvelis at ReMax. I am about to close on a home she sold me. This is from the buyer’s perspective: honest, responsive, experienced and works hard. Every other agent I have encountered (and I have been looking for almost 2 yrs) has been pushy, phony, or not well-informed. Maria actually listens.

  5. tell everyone about it here and post a few pics. then price it aggressively if you really want to sell.

if you arent going to price it aggressively, dont even bother.
