Hello
I have a wonderful recommendation for a reupholsterer. His name is Andres Vazquez. I’ve been using him for years, and began when his dad, who has since retired owned the business. The name of the business is:

His work is excellent. You can pick fabric from him, or use your own; Andres will come to your house and estimate how much fabric you will need. Andres and his team will also repair your furniture, shore up the under side of the chair, make new cushions
if need be, and can also replicate any of the cushion designs or recommend what works best. We’ve been using him for years and would never go to anyone else.
Thanks so much for this recommendation. Andres recovered a complicated chaise lounge, an overstuffed antique chair (including severe wood refinishing) and four 50’s dinette chairs for me and did a wonderful job! His quote was far better than anyone else and he picked up and dropped off the furniture as he finished it. Very satisfied!
I also had a great experience with Andres. His price and what it included (new cushions, wood refinishing AND fabric) was the best by far, so we took a chance. We picked our fabric from one of his sample books and are very happy with the results. He also made a couple of throw pillows with the leftover fabric for no extra charge. Thanks for your post, BrooklynBison!
I have used Andres in the past. However, a while back I had him upholster a couch. I know I gave him about 15 yards, which was more than enough fabric and did not get any back at time of delivery. I did call him a few months after a friend of mine said I should have a few yards of fabric to do repairs. Andres was was defensive on the phone, almost pretending he didn’t know who I was. I had given him alot of work in the past, so I was surprised. I suspect that he was left with a nice chunk of high quality and “forgot” to give it back to me. Just make sure he gives you your own fabric back at end of job.
