We are having our first annual End of the World (Or Maybe Not) Party next Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Union Hall in Park Slope. Please remember your ID; as we’ve learned here, Union Hall has a strictly enforced carding policy. The fun will begin at 6:30pm. All are welcome, including occasional visitors to the site with less time on their hands than some of us Brownstoner-addicted bold type regulars. Many of the most adored (and not so adored) posters have confirmed their attendance. We hope to see you there.

Adam, some ‘Stoners could only go right after work for a drink or two, so I made the start on the early side. Don’t worry if you’re late; the only way we won’t be around late is if we get kicked out, which, by the way, is a distinct possibility.

Oh yes, Dave. I’ve learned my lesson and now experienced first hand the hurt and anger that ensues when one’s thread is hijacked. I will never do it again; at least not for another hour until work calms down and I can join the discussions.
wasder, I was thinking of bringing name tags. If you have the time to pick them up and know where to get them, that would be much appreciated! Please let me know, otherwise I’ll look around. I’m sure we can reimburse you from the Brownstoner petty cash fund or give you one share of Wachovia stock.
