Appliance shop recommendation
Just thought that I’d mention a place I just got some appliances from. They’re based in NJ, so it’s up to you to pay the sales tax, but they were a pleasure to deal with. You call them with the model numbers and they give you a quote or call you back with one. The…

The guy I spoke to, I think his name was David, called me back the night before the scheduled delivery and called again in the morning. Delivery was basically free, other than the $10 extra they charged for taking a stove and refrigerator up to my 3 floor walk up apartment. Similar to some of the folks who do the same thing in Brooklyn, the delivery guys showed up PC Richards truck.
Overall, they’re prices were at least as good if not better than every place I called, and their follow up calls impressed me.
I’ll certainly compare their prices in the future, but I just placed an order with EBA yesterday (Sunday), which was already delivered today (next day, Monday holiday). For two items, compared with AppliancesBuyPhone, EBA charged $110 less on the first, and $15 less on the second. I paid their standard $55 for delivery, which included both items carried to a 3rd floor rental. They did not arrive in a PC Richards truck. FWIW, that still leaves me $70 ahead of ABP pricing. Harry’s–where I would have comparison shopped–is, unfortunately, closed on weekends and no website. EBA Appliance World, Nostrand Ave., Brooklyn – http://www.shopeba.com/
I’ve used these guys many times for appliances for my rental appartments and I agree that they are great. Low prices, excellent selection, one-day free delivery. They’re the best.
