  1. Can you imagine just stumbling upon a room you never knew you had? I can’t even fathom it. I agree with you on the scary factor with all those (unoccupied) rooms. I hope that they have a sick-*ss security system in that joint.

Electric, oh please! We moved into our house in January and I remember crying, literally crying when I opened the first gas bill. After living in an apartment for years and years that would make Satan break out in a sweat I had no idea what a normal temperature was. Who knew my dad was right about keeping a watch on the thermostat. I just thought he was a cheapskate! I bet their electric bill is equal to my mortgage payment!

    Thanks again for posting this.

  2. I love knowing that they just discovered a room they didn’t know existed.

I’d be scared to live there though, all that space. I walk into my 2-bedroom apt and turn all the lights on. Can you image my electic bill, if I lived in that ‘house’.

  3. I am DYING! I can’t even fathom having that. It’s just brilliant. I love that it’s owned and occupied by one family and not some corporation.

Thanks for posting that made my day.

  4. Italiana..I was at the farmers market at 8:00am (I had alot to do that day and knew if I don’t go early, I wouldn’t get the chance).

I was hoping there would be more vendors, but what was there was good. I bought bread – which was delicous, cheese, some fruit and veggies. I hope they get a milk vendor (like the one in union square – love the chocolate milk).

I’ll frequent it every Sat, but this one coming up. I’m going apple picking and hiking.

  5. bayridge girl–please go to the party thread and read my explanation for what I was trying to say. I am so sorry you misunderstood my post.

  6. I’ve always wondered about that one too. Pretty cool!!!
I know someone who also bought a huge loft in Soho many years ago and paid nothing. It was worth over a few million before she died in 2003. but she hated what changes came to that nabe. She liked it when it was mostly artists and not Old Navys.

But i for one am not jelous of all those rooms to clean.

Bayridge girl, did you check out the green market on Sat? it was great. Apperently everything sold out by about 1:30 so this weekend’s will be even bigger.
