stripping ceiling medallion
We have two Victorian-era ceiling medallions that I have unsuccessfully attempted to strip of layers of paint. Might there be a company out there that can strip these medallions for me?

Stripping a ceiling medallion is a killer for your neck, but have you tried Peel Away? I forget which # but look for the one for plaster. Then put it on thick, cover with plastic or tin foil. Leave it overnight. The layers should come off no problem. Cleaning it so it’s smooth is a bit painful, but at least most of the paint will be gone.
Sorry, I know you asked for someone else, but I thought you may want to try DIY one last time. Plus, I don’t know of anyone.
I guess they are plaster. I’m not sure if this is the answer, but I salvaged a house that had a fire and the paint just peeled off the ceiling medalion. Keep in mind that the paint is probably lead based, but they do make a heat stripper that works below the lead vaporization temperature.
