I just found a set of pocket doors in the walls, everythign seems to be in place except the bottom track the doors run on. I can see the tract in the wall still and where it was cut so the hardwoods could be run through the door way (renovation from the 70s) The track looks to be 3/8 half round steel on a 3/4 inch to 1 inch plate. I haven’t been able to find anythign close to replacing it anywhere. Can anyone provide some leads on where I can go to purchase it?
I might have one. Can you post a picture of what you have?

You can try Outwater.com. They have loads of odd and esoteric hardware accessories. Friend of mine found a vey hard to find french Door lock there.
We had the same problem when we discovered our pocket doors. We went to Simon’s Hardware on Bowery (in Chinatown). They sold us something very similar to the missing floor track . . . our contractor also decided to hang our pocket doors from the top — in addition to letting them run on the track.
I think that Ricardo Ironworks on Third Ave could reproduce them from your sample. I have had good experience working with them.
