I am remodeling my kitchen now. My contractor have made cabinet and doors, but he can’t do white high gloss finish(sharp edge, italian style) to the doors. The doors are not standard size. I need your help! Please give me any info to find someone who can finish the doors with white high gloss and with reasonable price. My contractor found an agent that can do for $4000,,, including door and white high gloss finish. Too expensive for me. I have doors, so I need someone who can do high gloss finish. Desperately waiting for your info! Thanks
hi momo i’m a cabinet maker and this is what i do for a living and you don’t want to use car paint on a kitchen cabinets. what you need to do is choose any white paint for cabinets and use high gloss conversion varnish for the finish. you should get what you want. good luck
the same goes to you caterinah you can get any color you want just make sure you use conversion varnish
There is Canadian Manufactuer that I have access to. They are a semi-custom frameless cabinet. I am a kitchen designer. The Canadians can finish cabinets like the Europeans. I’d be selling the boxes also, not the doors. If you send me a layout I’ll price it up. My website is http://www.akwks.com
Any resolution?? I am itching for high-gloss red for the kitchen cabinets i inherited and no one I know in the business (I am not in it) can help me figure out how to do this… any insight? Thank you kindly in advance for any input.
Not sure that it is true that glossy cabinets are out out style but don’t ever use milk paint on cabinets. I did and it was a disaster. It flakes off. I ruined my cabinets after spending over $500 to have most of it stripped. I still can’t fix them with several coats of latex paint.
for a high gloss spray finish you need a high end cabinet maker with a pristine spray booth.. there is no way you can get this done cheaply..just because you want it does not mean that you can get it on the cheap…every defect will show up in an incompetent job…if you cant afford the work, go to a semigloss finish, you will not be able to see all the imperfections in the work, and it is way cheaper…any way that glossy white cabinetry is such a cliche at this point, why do you want it anyway?

You could take them to a auto painting place. The finish is great!
Does your contractor have a sprayer? He can rent one, I think. The trick is to use acrylic paint not latex. It smells for a very short time but will give you that finish that you’re looking for.
My contractor sprayed a mirror frame with acrylic for me. He had never done it before. It’s perfect!
I am looking to do the same thing. Momo, can you please post any information and final resolution that you found. It would be greatly appreciated!
