Window decoration stores in Brooklyn
Hi Brownstoners, Do you have any recommendations for me for stores in Brooklyn that make good blinds (both wooden and fabric). Also, any idea of what looks nice in bay windows? Much appreciated!

I second Pintchik. They are very helpful and I got some really nice things from them — all custom sizes — and they all were perfect. I think that is a great store in general but the blinds people are very knowledgeable and the turn around time for custom stuff is short. Prices pretty good too.
I’d second blinds.com if you know what you want and how to measure it. HD and Lowes have some samples if you’re not sure what you want but want to see. Wouldn’t buy from either with the staff they have.
We have neutral colored triple-honeycomb blinds on all bedroom windows, from blinds.com. You can also get them in top-down form, which is great on certain days.
They have the advantage of scrunching up to an unobtrusive 3-4″, are energy saving (mildly insulative) and can be room-darkening since we have a nice streetlight just outside the house.
Pintchik Hardware on Bergen and Flatbush has some.
