Renovate before selling?
I want to put my one bedroom in the Griffin on the market. It is unrenovated and I’m wondering if I should do some renovation first or wil buyers prefer to choose their own new kitchen?

In my opinion, I would prefer a non-renovated place to one that has not been renovated “all the way”. I agree with traditionalmod that the small things can make a difference. However, I would not replace cabinets, appliances, and countertops, unless you are going to purchase things that you would buy if you planned on living there for a long time.
I get upset if I look at a place with brand new, but crappy stuff that I would want to throw out if I didn’t feel guilty about it. 🙂
Little things make a big difference. You don’t have to replace all the cabinets and countertops. But replace the knobs and pulls which spruce things up a lot. And replace the sink and faucet with more updated cool ones. Which isn’t difficult, it’s a quick job for a plumber but makes the whole kitchen look way better. You can do the same in the bathroom, replace the knobs, sink and faucet on the vanity if they’re old and cruddy.
If you renovate your going to pay sales commission + transfer tax on the cost of the renovation.
I may not be your average buyer, but I’d prefer unrenovated over a crappy renovation or one that’s not to my taste.
