Removing Stubborn Grout from Glass Tiles
My contractor did not do a great job removing grout from the beautiful glass tiles he installed in our new master bath shower. I’ve tried scrubbing with typical bathroom cleaner but have had no luck removing. Anyone have a suggestion for what to use to remove unwanted grout from glass tile?

I just installed a ceramic and glass mosaic backsplash. Grout was left to dry on the small glass tiles. What ended up working really well to remove it was a dremel tool fitted with a steel brush wheel. It cleaned off the gout easily without scratching the tiles!
Sorry, its bisazza.

Oh I know! It’s awful and I’m thinking of a harassment suit. An ogre, I tell you.
bxgrl…I hear the management in your building is a real tough one. Better get a DOB permit and architectural plans for even the smallest job!!!
Anyone know how to removed the mortar from the back of salvaged tiles? I’m afraid to try to chip it off.
Check out johnbridge.com. It’s a tile forum and alot of experts comment on posts.
I believe they do make a commercial product for just such a problem, but I’ve never had to use it.
You can try what I did for my porcelain tile. I put a water soaked cloth over the tiles for an hour, keeping it wet and very carefully used a plastic scrubbee. for really tough sections I used a brillo pad. sometimes soft scrub works or kosher salt and a washcloth.
