Kitchen & Bathroom lighting / fixture supply
I’m doing a gut renovation of our garden floor apartment and in search of a good store for Kitchen and Bathroom lighting & fixtures. I’ve tried Home Depot and Lowes and the selection isn’t that great. Any recommendations on local stores in Brooklyn that would be a one stop shop for this stuff ? Thanks.

Thanks for the posts. I found pretty much everything I needed at Manhattan Lighting (which as Back40 mentions, is not in Manhattan!).
True the selection is not great in the big boxes, but the price is low. The good stores offer great service and you can see it and get explanations for everything, but you pay more and get better quality. My clients often go on line, with mixed results, but I prefer they go to Grand Central Plumbing. Ask for Michelle Makress.
PARK SLOPE PLUMBING SUPPLY CORP.
601 5TH AVENUE, BROOKLYN, N.Y. 11215
TEL: 718 832-0400
It’s owned by the same owner of Park Slope Kitchen Gallery less than a block away. Even though it’s called Plumbing Supply Corp, they have vanities and fixtures, some lighting, all kinds of stuff.
For lighting they refer people to Lamp Warehouse that Steve mentioned above.
There’s also Manhattan Lighting (which is not in Manhattan, but on Coney Island Ave and something like Ave I or L).
Lamp Warehouse. I believe it’s on 39th and Fort Hamilton. Good place.
If you’ve got a car, check out The Great Indoors next to the Woodbridge Mall in NJ. It’s sorta like a higher-end Home Expo.
One stop shopping is a tall order. There is a good lighting store at 36th and Ft Hamilton pkway – also walk Bowery just north of China Town in Manhattan. Loads of lighting stores in one area.
Don’t forget about undercabinet lighting!
