  1. I got one from speedysigns too. A simple 25 was about $16.
The trick is to get it in reverse (one of the options) then you can get gold with a black border (not gold leaf, just gold), and put it on the inside of the window. Mine looks great, and a much better deal than getting one hand-painted in real leaf. I was quoted $130 a letter!

  2. That’s what I did- It didn’t even occur to me that I could have done it the other way. I constrained the lettering to scale, and chose 7″ tall to match an 8.5″ high transom. I used extra thick black border, and used the font in bold, and chose the ‘wave number one’ effect. Will let you know how it looks when it arrives next Wed.

  3. The link was in Wednesday’s blog wrap but I can’t get it to work. Go to http://www.remodelista.com and scroll down.

And it sounds like poster Park Place ordered the ‘reverse cut’ numbers which have the adhesive on the front of the numbers so they can be mounted on the inside of the window/transom.

  4. I second http://www.speedysigns.com. I ordered the gold leaf numbers in the harrington font 4″ wide. My son thinks I should I should have ordered 6 – 8″ wide instead. He’s probably right, but overall I was very satisfied with the product, price and easy installation. In a couple of years I’ll order another one just to make my son happy. LOL

  5. Thanks for the info . Sounds good , did you choose gold leaf as I see there’s no border options with specialities. I assume they go on the ouside as opposed to painting numbers that go on the inside. I checked yesterdays threads and archives couldn’t see anything relevant or links . Should I be looking elsewhere?

  6. Just ordered a gold with black border reverse print house number sticker from ‘www.speedysigns.com’ this week. Other people here recommended it. Haven’t seen the product yet, but it was around $40, as compared to many hundreds to get someone to paint in gold leaf.

Have you seen the link from yesterday’s bstoner about house numbers? There were some other neat links there-
