Seeking Advice re: insurance
We are moving out of our apartment in Brooklyn Heights and are going to store everything in our landlord’s empty storefront until we know our next move — could be 6wks to two months. Does anyone know how to get insurance specifically for storage? Does it matter that it’s not in a traditional storage facility?…

Do you have homeowner/renter insurance now? If so you will probably be covered, but check of course. If you don’t have insurance now, I guess it’s because your stuff isn’t worth anything (?) lol
When I moved recently movers stored my stuff overnight and I made sure my policy covered it.
don’t know about insurance, but do have some sort of written agreement with your landlord that says you are renting the space, so you can prove your stuff is yours.
