If you REALLY can do it yourself, only if you’re concerned with the work being legal (or having your fire insurance not pay if your DIY electrical work causes a fire).
If you only THINK you can do it yourself, I could tell you about the time I ended up with a live shower curtain rod after adding a circuit in my first apartment [that was in 1970–my LAST DIY electrical job beyond replacing receptacles or hanging fixtures]
