the OP has got to be the owner/manager of christopher john for sure…i like the line “it’s hard to see them as anything but the go-to men…”
i actually hired these guys for a small job about 2 years ago ( a ceiling light install) and they did a very good job. But it was INCREDIBLY expensive, so much so that I haven’t called them for any additional jobs.
We tried to hire Christopher John twice and they failed to even schedule an appointment both times. The first time was after talking to them at the Atlantic Antic 2 years ago… we just wanted a few more recessed lights installed. I called on Monday as instructed and then was told someone would call me back to schedule a visit for an estimate. No one ever called back. The 2nd time (thinking the first mishap was just an odd fluke) was about a month later when we had decided to ditch the recessed light plan and install track lighting – again no one ever called back.
We ended up calling Ceriello Electric instead. They were referred by a neighbor who’d had some work done a few months earlier. They did a nice job for us. They removed the existing recessed fixtures and installed a new track system & dimmers (all of which we had already purchased). We had our handyman patch up the residual holes in the ceiling afterward. I suspect Christopher John just isn’t all that interested in relatively small jobs. But I can’t say for sure what their deal is since we never even had the chance to get a quote from them.
From your posts, “some lighting work,” “my job wasn’t rewiring a whole house” and “They rewired much of my house”…is you’re that uncertain, are you sure they came at all?
At least get it together before you put in a fake recommendation.
I enjoy knowing good work was done on my house.

Didn’t show up at all?! Wow. That’s probably the worst thing that could ever happen. As I recall, they were on time, and finished the job real quick. I can’t expect more from that. I’m sorry to hear of your ill experience with them. I’m appreciative of the work that was completely and it’s hard to see them as anything but the go-to men for my electrical work from now on.
My experience with them was less that impressive. THey didn’t show up. Twice. Lots of apologies the first time. By the second time I didn’t want to hear it. I think the person doing the scheduling wasn’t up to the task. Hoepfully that has changed.
They rewired much of my house, it really needed it big time. It really comes down to what you would like to get done. From speaking with the technician, yeah, they do rewire entire houses as. I was up on the company website just earlier today, electricianCJE.com, so I’d check that out for more stuff about them. But really, they did a really great job. I recommended them to all my friends and family in the area. They got most of the job done right there with little coming back to finish up/ clean up. Then again, my job wasn’t rewiring a whole house, but nonetheless, they are efficient, and were quite organized. Nice and uniformed too!
