Following on Mr. B’s recent garden posts. Can folks recommend landscapers to redo my townhouse backyard. The space is about 25′ X 40′. Currently half is concrete, the other half is a raised dirt bed.
I would like to get some plants and such in quickly in order to enjoy it during the summer.

Any and all recs would be helpful. I have already called DIGs and they are coming to give me an estimate, but other recs would be helpful as well.

Thanks All!

  1. I agree with Dave. If half of your yard is paved you don’t really have a ton of space to work with. I recommed that you figure out landscape styles you want, and look for plants you like most. Be mindful of the amount of sun needed vs. what’s available in your yard. Talk to Pete at Visconti at Brooklyn Terminal market. He’s very knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction. Keep in mind, you don’t need to pay a landscaper just to select and plant things. BIG waste of money.

  2. Is this the same guy I had the run in with under the garden post??? You”re in bed stuy??? In that case I’ll cut you some slack but in no way b/c you’re a hoya!!

To get plants in quick, planting them yourself, because all these landscapers are so backed up…go down to brooklyn Terminal Market..they have a somewhat decent selection of stuff, cheap.
