I exposed a brick wall/fireplace on my own and will never attempt to do so again. The dust was never ending, and in the end I had to hire a brick person to fix all the cracks, holes and rebuild the arch. IMO, well worth the extra expense to hire someone, just be sure to tape up/enclose the area
OP-did you expose the brick wall youself? If so, was it a lot of work/messy. I’m thinking about it myself for my living room, wondering how much work it is, how it’s going to look (quality of the bricks), do I need to hire someone to do this etc…
we’re doing a reno on 18th as well. Best of luck to you-
I see all the local businesses seem to have park slope in their name- Lindo’s, Park Slope Convinience (sic), Park Slope Bakery, etc… but I never thought of that area as Park Slope either- especially down near 4th ave.
