We need new moving boxes. Manhattan OK, but rather buy them locally if possible. Driving no problem.

Comments

  1. It would be great to be able to get free used moving boxes… but with frequent reports of bed bugs, and other assorted
“creepies”, who would want to take the risk of moving more than yourself into your new home! 🙂

  2. Local moving/storage places like UHaul are outrageously priced. Uline is good, try the yellow pages (remember them) under packaging supplies.

  3. In case you can’t find them locally, we used uline.com. They deliver the next day and they’re much cheaper than anything we could find locally, even with shipping. Their packages are especially handy–boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, etc. The only thing is you have to buy in bulk, usually 20-50 at a time.

  4. Why Brand New Boxes April? They are expensive and such a waste of perfectly good trees. I have also done the craigslist thing and the boxes are typically in very good shape and clean. If they are not, you can just take the ones you want.

Just what we need in the City, more garbage and wasted trees…

  5. There’s a storage place on Flatbush, near Third Avenue, right next to the Army recruiting office, that sells boxes. Also, of course, UHaul on 4th Avenue (across from the Novo, I think).
