I have a space in the bathroom which is tiled on 3 sides which would be ideal to put some sheves in – it’s like a niche which is about 13 inches wide and 7 inches deep and goes all the way from tub to the ceiling (it is there thanks to the heater riser pipe having been covered with sheetrock an tiles). I found great onyx shelves at CB2 that fit perfectly sidewise, but they are beveled:

I could really use some suggestions as to how install these so it looks beatuful – black caulk? L-corners painted black? triangular plexiglass tubes to match the beveled slant? I have no idea.

  1. I could be wrong but the description makes me think these are plastic, not stone. Id imagine it would start to look pretty funky if exposed to water for a long period of time.

As for installation, you can buy those clippy things that hold up glass/marble shelves in niches and place the shelf on top. Just float it away from the wall so the beveled edge on the back doesn’t look out of place.
