Minimum size for double sink vanity

cmu – that poster was referring to the whole building’s electrical capacity, not the floor thru alone. And is not the one who wrote snarkily about needing an architect above.
If you need to install a custom sized/irregular sized vanity, I would highly recommend Art Moskowitz at Home Depot Expo in Westbury NY for help. Art has over 40 years in the biz, is very knowledgable and a real gentleman to work with. He helped me design a 66″ double vanity at a very reasonable (compared to off-the shelf) price – about $1600. This did not include the sinks or top. The only downside was that is took 6 weeks for delivery.
I have a 60in double vanity and it is plenty big. Ive even seen them smaller. The only drawback to having a 60 inch vanity over a 72 is that you can’t have drawers in the middle.
I think if you’re planning on integrated bowls, you’re probably considering solid-surface materials (Corian/Silestone etc.), which is made to whatever size you need.
8:00 is the same person who thinks a floor-thru requires 250A electric service.
8:00 you think one needs an architect for a bath vanity?
It all depends on the size and shape of the sink bowls. Don’t assume that any bowl will work. Your architect and contractor should confoirm the dimensions and clearances.
Oh, wait. You’re obviously trying to do this yourself, which means you are cheap and trying to do this without an architect.
My mistake. Sure use a 60″ vanity and put two 24″ bowls in it. No problem. I’ll have it done in 2 days.
60″ is fine. You can arrange as 2-30″ vanities or 2-24″ with a 12″ drawer in the center
