Does anyone have a source for radiator covers for circulating water radiators?

Our first baby is starting to get mobile.

Thanks.

  1. I see these comments are old but wondered if the search for radiator covers goes on – check my website – imagedesignandbuild.com

  2. Pine Street Metals on Pine st. in Brooklyn. Go to their website and they have a diagram on how to measure for the proper size of your rads. Or call them 718-277-2404. I use them and their very reliable.

  3. There’s a place on west 10th st btw greenwich and 6th ave in greenwich village, don’t know the name but they make very nice wooden radiator covers. Manhattan Cabinetry (B’way in the teens or 20s) also makes them but can be pricey. You could look at their floor models for ideas.

  4. Also interested in the Gothic cabinet rad covers b/c I have 5 month old that will start crawling in the near future. Can you share a little more info — what size cover did you have made, type of wood and how much did you pay? thanks.

  5. yeah – where’s this pic from? I’ve done web searches on all the radiators, and I’ve only seen this kind with the vents on top from England.

  6. I just purchased a custom-made cabinet from Gothic. Very professional, no-nonsense guy. “Measure twice, pay once”. Nice simple outfit. Sort of like “The Gap” for wood cabinets. Highly recommended.

We too will soon purchase a radiator cover for our newborn daughter.

  7. For what it’s worth, kids only touch a hot radiator once. If you want them, go ahead, but like most child-proofing, they really are optional.
