Installing Curtain Rod
I am trying to install a curtain rod in my apartment. I tried to drill using a masonry bit, but it seems as if I hit a metal plate. I think it’s the rebar so I doubt a metal bit would work. Is there any other way I can install my curtain rod?

I ran into the same thing and got self-tapping metal screws to hold the rods in. Actually, my dad did it for me. So I guess my second suggestion is call your mom or dad.
Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.
depends how big a hole you made
the hole will be covered up, but if you made a large hole then there is less surface for the glue to stick to to hold the plywood in place
If I try the plywood, should I spackle the hole I made with the drill first? Does that not matter?
rebar would not be close to the surface, you probably hit a metal plate or flashing
You can try, ceiling mounted rods, tension rods inside the window frame, or attaching the brackets to a strip of plywood that you then glue to the wall- a heavier rod+ curtain would require more plywood surface area to glue down. Depending on the surface this might not work at all.
