Disposing of Soil
We’re doing some landscaping in our yard and are going to be getting rid of quite a few bags of our old soil. Is that the sort of thing you put out on trash day? I know you call 311 for wood disposal but not sure about soil. Anyone know? Thanks.

I have posted ‘soil’ on this forum twice – 15 bags then 17 bags – all went from my front yard in less than 4 hours! All from backyard reno.

Don’t top-off soil around street trees. The soil level should never be raised above where it is when the tree is planted.

You can put it out a few bags at a time as long as they are not going to break the sanitation guy’s back. I did this last year with the rocks from my back yard.
NFN: Why don’t you scout out the tree openings in your immediate neighborhood. They may need an infusion of top soil. I assume your soil is clean. I did this and had people begging me for it.
Post it on Craigs list and someone will take it.
