sublet/temp housing sources?
Hi – we’re at the tail end of renovating our condo but the place is still a mess and we need somewhere to live for up to two weeks. Does anyone have any good sources for short-term rentals or sublets? We’ve tried what we consider the usual suspects: PSP, Craigslist, local guesthouses. But no luck….

We’re looking for something in Park Slope from Oct. 24. Thanks.
Amazing how informative this site can be. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life, always visit in that area and never noticed or knew that establishment existed. That being said, their prices arent that bad.Comparable to the Comfort Inn on Baltic and the other express chain hotel on Union St.’Also check the message boards at the post office or supermarkets for possibilities.
Here’s the website for a B&B in Park Slope on 6th Street, across from Prospect Park:

Check out the sublets board at the Park Slope Food Coop (if you are cooperatively inclined!). I’m often amazed at how many people are looking to sublet their places for a short time there. If you’re not members a friend who is can sign you in.
I am also currently renovating and will need to move out while the floors are sealed. My neighbour has suggested a B&B on PPW. He thinks they are called the Prospect Park B&B or Park Slope B&B or something equally obvious. Might be worth trying to track them down. I’ll also see if he can give me more info when next we chat. Good Luck
