Anyone with an option on relative merits of the LG LFC25760SW vs the comparable Samsung (or alternative)? Thanks.

  1. I just went through this dilemma. LG or Samsung. I live in a small bungalow and had to replace my Frig. It is very hard to find a good looking, high quality small frig to fit in our space in this corner of Oklahoma. I chose the Samsung with the single door and the bottom door freezer because I would have had to wait for 18 days for a LG! So thanks for this post It is a bit of comfort since Consumer’s Report hadn’t rated either.

  2. We bought a Samsung RB215LASH (the LG units we looked at seemed eh…)

and we love it. nice platnum stainless steel finish. door alarm ice maker, etc. we opted out of getting the french doors as well. a wider door also allows you to put bigger stuff in there.

also the bottom freezer is a door not a drawer like most other units so it is easier to open with one hand…

also there is a blue energy orb inside that make the whole thing look like its about to transform to optimus prime…

  3. I don’t know if this is applicable for you, but I ultimately decided I did not want the two doors on top because I’d either have to always open the fridge with two hands (when most of the time I’m holding some food item too) or memorize where everything is, either right side or left side so I only had to open one door not two. So I got a fridge with the freezer drawer on bottom like yours has, but with only one large door on top. I don’t know those brands super well but I’d buy LG before I bought Samsung for kitchen appliances, simply because LG dominates the appliance market more and that must be for a reason.

  4. We have the LG in stainless steel and have been very happy with it. The only down side that we have found so far (have had it about five months) is that the alarm to let you know when the door is open is on a very short timer and we have not yet figured out how to disable it (the manual has been of no help). Otherwise, it looks great and has been pretty roomy so far.
