Do sellers know the buyers names when offers are accepted?

Not to mention that you should have the seller’s (sellers’) name(s) on the contract when it’s presented to you for review, not just when it’s signed. Your attorney will need to do a lien, judgment, bankruptcy, etc. search against them.
If you as a buyer want to know who the sellers are, just check the property tax rolls (or PropertyShark).
OP here- thanks!
We found out potential buyers’ names when they put in offers. Our broker recorded their offer in a formal offer sheet with names, offer, base incomes, down payment proposed and any contingencies. We got copies of the offer sheet as each bid came in.
We’re selling a family property in the ‘burbs and once we were in contract and starting to empty the contents of the house, we asked the broker for the buyer contact info so we could offer them some furniture (for free.)
We got general info on the kind of people they were (age, marital status, location) when an offer was on the table.
